Gothic Punk was launched in March 2006 by artist Roseanne Jones showcasing Christchurch, New Zealand underground talent. The site was created to promote the annual Gothic Punk Art Exhibition Roseannes original gothic punk OOAK original fabric collages as well as the Artamatik underground print collections. Gothic Punk is the sister site to Artamatik. Artamatik represents artists, Roseanne Jones and Lee Malzard. Two artists that work together under one name to reate art that appeals to all tastes. Artamatik is an art business, based in a home studio in Christchurch, New Zealand. The name Artamatik symbolizes the techniques and methods used in the creation of their work. Artamatik sells hand-signed open and limited edition edition fine art gicleè prints. All Artamatik prints are original and are created and printed by the artists that make up Artamatik. Artamatik covers an extensively wide range of subject matters from mainstream subjects such as landscapes, sunsets and more; to the darker alternative subject matter including Urban, Erotica and Gothic Punk themes. The Artamatik artists are strong supporters of modern digital art and their art reflects that. Artamatik images are created mostly in digital forms; others started out as hand-made works; such as fabric and paper collages then scanned or photographed into a digital format for the digitally creative processes We often combine techniques such as 3D rendering, digital photography, scanning and digital painting.
