We are Everywhere Pink Inc., is a Maryland based, national community awareness project formed to demonstrate the spending power of the GLBT community throughout the United States. What began in 1993 as a small grass roots movement, when 174 friends joined together at the March on Washington to pay their taxes with Pink Triangle checks in protest of Dont Ask, Dont Tell policies, has spread to over 1500 cities and towns across the country. Every year gays and lesbians pay billions of dollars in taxes to support a government that thinks were dispensable. Were victims of official policies that actively deny equal treatment under the law and make us second class citizens in our own country. This Year pay your federal, state and local taxes with checks that say what we are and that were not going to be taken for granted anymore. Every Day we give millions of dollars to businesses that act as though we dont matter. Now we can pay our utility bills, buy groceries or just order a pizza with checks that show the world just how much it stands to lose by ignoring us.
